What is the recommended age range for your events?
Most of our shows and field trips are appropriate for children ages 4-12. Some titles are geared towards young teens and we also feature high school trivia contests. The teen scene is for ages 9-16 and our open game time is best for kids from age 5 up through adults (The big kids :-). Movies will of course be accompanied by ratings, and most other events are for the entire family.

Do parents/adults need to stay with children?
Parents are not required to stay for many of our events, but Amped Up Family Amphitheatre, LLC is NOT responsible for the supervision of children. We ask that you treat the supervision of your children just as you would for a traditional movie or any other activity. We want to encourage family participation and guarantee that adults will think our offerings are as cool as kids do!

How long are your shows?
Almost all of our performances last for approximately 1 hour. These are preceeded and/or followed by 1-2 hours of open game time or other activities which are included in the ticket price. Because our shows are live and include significant audience participation, ending times can vary from 5-10 minutes. Field trips are typically 2.5 hours and child birthday parties are usually 2 hours.

What time should we arrive at the theatre?
It is recommended that guests arrive at least 15 minutes prior to show time. The doors will open 30 minutes before each performance.

What type of entertainment does the theatre offer?
Our live in-house shows include animated content, 3-D images, video clips, games and prizes, electronic voting, and more. Current titles and detailed information can be seen on our home and calendar pages. We also host outside entertainment such as children's music groups, magicians, puppet shows, and more! Previously released family feature films will run at selected times as well. In addition, we host fundraisers, teen events, sports broadcasts, family game nights, seasonal parties, job training sessions, and more! Check our event pages for more information.

How can I purchase tickets?

What forms of payment are accepted?
We accept cash, Visa, MasterCard, and Discover.

Can outside food or beverages be brought into the theatre?
Unfortunately we do not allow outside food or beverages in the theatre (Other than BYOB at selected events). We offer a large variety of affordable concession items and additional foods for special occasions. Certain rentals and group events can bypass this restriction based on the terms of their contract.

Is the theatre safe for my kids?
Absolutely! All of our employees have had extensive background checks and our owners have 21 years of teaching experience in Baltimore County Schools. We utilize surveillance cameras and security systems, and review rules and safety procedures prior to every show. Selected events will have security personnel on site.

Is there a code of conduct?
Yes. We are a family establishment and reserve the right to remove individuals from our theatre for abusive or foul language, inappropriate clothing, physical altercations, or any other reasonable cause. We do not discriminate based on race, color, religion, national origin, sex, age, sexual orientation, disability, or any other basis under federal and local law.

Do you offer coupons or other discounts?

Can the theatre be rented?
Yes. Private parties, business functions/meetings, and other uses are welcomed. We can accommodate up to 386 people and offer access to our state-of-the-art computer, projection, and sound equipment. Please contact us for details.
